Because North Carolina is a large producer of poultry and pork products, we are active in production warehousing for the chicken and turkey industry. Warehousing is our core-expertise: whether 24, 48 or 72 hour blast and room freezing, cross-docking, rail car loads, order picking, export requirements, or handling returned or outdated product. Our customers require both quantity and quality: from high volume production to case-intensive picking, load consolidation, and coordinating store-to-store deliveries.
Blast Freezing
We have 5 blast freezing super cells, capable of freezing product to 0°F in 24 hours. We also offer 48-hour blast freezing in standard blast cells and 72-hour room freezing. Order picking is available as specified by our customer. Case pick and partial pallet picks are routine operations at Imperial.
Product Integrity
All product in our facility is protected by 24-hour security monitoring. We have engaged the AIB to audit our facility each year since 1997, and each year receive the AIB Superior Rating, the highest rating for sanitation. As a modern facility, our inventory and refrigeration services are fully computerized.
Exporting
Our clients rely on Imperial for accurate export preparation, documentation and processing. We have a USDA inspector onsite, offering USDA exporting on a daily basis. We handle all export documentation, stamping, and labeling requirements. We can ship by truck, train, or container. Cross docking is also available from truck or rail car to container, or inventory to container loading.
Return Goods
We offer a number of services to help our customers deal with returned our recalled product. We can inspect, sort and separate the product, and also arrange salvage sales or rendering services as the situation requires.
